Local Women in Business: A Sunny Days Promotion

With Father's Day around the corner and Christmas hot on its heels many of us are looking for interesting and different gifts for our loved ones. Two local women are part of the Smallprint franchise which offers exactly that.

Smallprint fingerprint jewellery is created from fine silver, which has been antiqued and then polished to a high shine.

Lisa Haines is a mother of 3, business owner of 2, and impressionable community member to many; she gives new meaning to the word multi-tasker. From dedicating time to home-teaching 60 preschool children how to swim each month, to holding back tears in response to seeing someone receive a piece of her custom-made Smallprint jewellery, everything Lisa does is from the heart.

Even with the many demands of family, work, and the extra unforseen costs of life, Lisa Haines still manages give back by participating in charity events and community nights.

Inspired by Lisa Haines, Sarah Doohan began her Smallprint business after her seven year career in journalism came to a halt due to the effects of the Global Financial Crisis. The mother of two, Sarah came across Smallprint jewellery and, loving the concept, decided to start a new, flexible and local career opening a Smallprint jewellery franchise on the Central Coast.

Just six months after opening, Sarah loves running her business and crafting the unique jewellery for her customers.

These two women are inspiring to other women in business; their determination and drive has helped them succeed, while working around the needs of their families.
