“Babywearing" means holding or carrying a baby or young child using a baby carrier. Holding babies is natural and universal; baby carriers make it easier and more comfortable, allowing parents and caregivers to hold or carry their children while attending to the daily tasks of living. 

Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), Newcastle Attachment Parenting and Hunter Home and Natural Birth Support will be celebrating International Babywearing Week tomorrow, Wedneday 6th October, 10am at Jesmond Park. For anyone interested in babywearing or all current babywearers of Newcastle and the Hunter, bring a picnic lunch, all your slings/carriers/wraps and find out how to use them safely and effectively.

Hunter Home and Natural Birth Support, ABA and Newcastle Attachment Parenting are active community groups within Newcastle and the Hunter that support over 500 families annually.
